Brown Sugar Stamped Sugar Cookies Recipe

This is the perfect recipe to use with any of our cookie stamps. If you are using a round cookie stamp simply roll a ½" ball of dough in your hand, squish it down and use the stamp to imprint a pattern on your cookie before baking. 

♥iNgredients

1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ⅔  cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½  teaspoon salt

♥Directions

Cream butter and brown sugar with an electric mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture to batter slowly. Blend thoroughly. Turn out the dough on the counter and knead until smooth. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Preheat oven to 350° F. Roll dough out to 1/4" thickness. Cut out with cutter and press with cookie stamp. Bake 10-12 minutes. Carefully remove and cool on a cooling rack. Repeat steps with remaining dough.
